Weekly Chat – Holiday Menus

1Video Chat1Today, I’m chatting about what my family eats for Christmas Eve.  I think I forgot to mention that we also have fried oysters. Baby and I love, love those!  If you have time, post a comment about what it is you do for your holiday festivities, where a traditional food or action. I love to see what others do for their holidays.

As I mention in the video, I want to invite you to join us for the Night at the Movies with Monica event. It’s simply a group of readers getting together with me in a Facebook event page. We all start the movie at the same time and then comment about the movie. We did Love Actually last Friday night, and it was a blast. Everyone really enjoyed it and were excited to do the next one. I’ve set up a Google form so readers can vote for what movie we watch next.

Bookmark the January movie night here — http://on.fb.me/1OlKUkd (NOTE: The date will not be final until the vote is closed on Jan 1st)

Happy Holidays to each of you.

And I don’t use those words to be politically correct. I do it for two reasons. One I was raised to show respect for all cultures because no one is better than another, we’re just different people. It’s also a hell of a lot easier to make an all encompassing statement because there are just too many December holidays to remember when I can barely remember what day of the week it is!! LOL

P.S. Don’t forget to check the subscribe to blog check box. This way you won’t miss and posts here, including ones I make to Facebook.

  1. I used to go to candlelight services when I was a kid. They’re was something magical about them. We’re doing our usual turkey meal. As the girls get older and grow their own families, I imagine the things we’ve done, and do will continue you evolve. I can easily see being in England or Italy for a Christmas holiday. ?

  2. I will be going to a “candelight” service at church – mom is going to make dinner – it’s a steak and peppers thing we love to make for Christmas Eve. This year Christmas Day’s menu is still up in the air but it looks like some kind of chicken thing is on the menu…lol
