A Night At The Movies

Love_Actually_movieJust finished up A Night At The Movies w/Monica where readers and I watched LOVE ACTUALLY together. I had a wonderful time seeing the movie from different perspectives. For example, tonight I saw the vignette with Thompson and Rickman in a completely NEW like, thanks to the different perspective of others watching the show with me. Throughout the movie, everyone commented and posted on the Facebook Event Page. It was a hoot, with everyone piping up with their favorite lines and moments from the film. Typos galore on my part!

We all started relatively at the same instant, and most of us were right in sync. A couple others were a little behind, but that made it funny when someone would comment on something after others had already gone past that mark. This was a new type of event for me, and I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to coordinate dozens of DVDs to start all at the same time, but we did a great job syncing up. Everyone said they had a blast and want to do it again. Consider joining us next month. We’ll be voting on January’s film and viewing date sometime in next few days.

Here’s one of the scenes we all enjoying laughing at. “Ten minutes at Elton John’s, you’re as gay as a meatball.”
