Although you might not realize it, I am really hard at work. I don’t know why I insist on building people’s expectations and making goals I know I can’t achieve.
I’m continuously trying to blog, social media, market, keep up the website, tweet, instagram, pinterest….yeah, I #Failed in that respect recently. BUT, I have an excellent excuse. I’m hard at work on Percy’s story, and it’s finally starting to flow. That’s the beauty of writing, it takes time for the words to flow, but when they do, it’s a joyous thing.
I’ve still don’t have a title. I’ve been batting around the idea of Reckless as a title, but not sure I like it. The book is more Rhea’s (Percy’s heroine) story than Percy’s. She’s been through hell, and it’s very hard for her to trust him. So I’ve been trying to come up with titles that relate to trust, but are still good romance titles. If you can think of one, post in the comments.
Anyway, I figure I’d better explain why I’ve been lax about posting. Besides, I think you’d rather I write than do all that social stuff, right???
Have a great weekend.
The reissue of Assassin’s Honor is now up and running!! If you’re one of my historical romance readers and you’ve not read the Order of the Sicari, I think you might actually enjoy this series. It’s the world of Ancient Rome right smack dab in the middle of downtown Chicago. There’s archeology, a mystery, villains, hot and sexy hero and much more.
Think of it like the Scarlet Pimpernel or the Three Musketeers landing in modern-day time, they wear clothes of today, but live their lives as if they were still in their time period. Book two of this series — ASSASSIN’s HEART — has three stories folded into the book. One is the main couple, the secondary couple who are in ancient Rome, and the third couple is an older couple finding love again. Book four in the series will be out this summer, and it’s going to be set in ancient Rome. I have several more stories I’d like to write in this series. Some historical and some modern-day. I think the whole idea of the ancient world being here in the present is ripe for lots of stories!
Check out the Order of the Sicari series details here.
Book 1 – Assassin’s Honor.
Book 2 – Assassin’s Heart arrives April 25th and

Digital books. Are they your primary reading medium? Do you read sole print? Or do you prefer to find a happy medium between the too.
I started my career out in ePub, and at the time I never read digital. I didn’t have an eReader, and I didn’t want one. I was a book person. Of course, that was before fibromyalgia set in on my hands. Now it’s very painful to hold a paperback. It’s also hard to hold my Kindle or Nook, but those I can rest on my lap or table when I’m reading.
Over the last 15 years, I’ve realized that digital reading is far easier for me, and I don’t have to fight with pages, I can bump up the font size, I can close my Nook or Kindle and when I come back it magically opens up right to where I left off.
Naturally this means my lovely bookmarks are strictly for display, but they’re associated with great memories of reading at the campfire when I went camping with my folks, reading under my grandmother’s big oak tree, and reading curled up on my bed while I was a kid.
So do you still read only paperbacks? All digital now or do you do a mix. Got a reason why??
